- ➤ The Holiday Magic Toy Drive accepted donations Friday at Walmart on Pacific Avenue until 7 p.m., and the collected toys went directly to the Salvation Army to benefit local children. KYMA

- ➤ The Dorothy Young Electric Light Parade, a 20-year local tradition featuring a misfit toys theme with 118 entries, is expected to draw 40,000 people as it begins at 6 p.m. on west 9th and wraps up on South Main today. KYMA

- ➤ California Labor Commissioner Lilia García-Brower visited San Pasqual Valley High School in Winterhaven to teach students about work rights, including minimum wage and breaks as part of the Reaching Every Californian initiative. The program organized by nonprofit Florecer serves Imperial and Yuma counties to empower youth for future careers. KYMA
- ➤ Arizona Western College held its first fall commencement today in Yuma, with over 180 students earning degrees and certificates, including many who are the first in their families to graduate. The ceremony marked a new tradition — offering a fresh, fall experience for graduates. KYMA
