The Yuma Heat, a youth swimming program founded in 1992 by the Frabasilio family, now serves over 300 athletes. Head coach Myriah VanBuskirk (a former team swimmer) leads the program that helps local talent pursue collegiate competition and national events.
New Vida Birthing Center will soon open in San Luis to offer natural maternity care for mothers with low-risk pregnancies. The 4,000 sqft facility will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and already has 11 expectant mothers on its waiting list.
