- ➤ San Luis celebrated the season with its annual Parade of Lights Thursday evening starting at 6:30 p.m., when over 1,000 community members enjoyed illuminated floats, decorated vehicles, and marching bands while judges selected winners (including the Merriest Award). KYMA
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The AWC District Governing Board announced yesterday in Yuma that Dr. Reetika Dhawan will serve as Arizona Western College’s 10th president, replacing Dr. Daniel Corr when he retires in July 2026 + following candidate forums and a formal interview last month. Arizona Western College
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Comite de Bienestar held its 70th and final vaccination clinic of 2025 in San Luis, making it easier for residents to receive health + legal services from more than 10 local agencies. Executive director Tony Reyes noted that over 26,000 vaccinations have been administered and additional clinics will be offered next year. KYMA
