- ➤ Scouting Arizona held a ceremony today at the Yuma Elks Lodge to honor three local leaders—John and Joyce Lobeck and Dan Mickles—for their lasting service to Scouts and the community. Funds raised will support youth programs that help develop leadership and character. KYMA
- ➤ Yuma Exceptional Community Hospital held a free trunk-or-treat event for children from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. featuring decorated cars that gave out candy and fun attractions (therapy dogs and a pony) provided by local groups. KYMA

- ➤ After years of tests for a lump, Bill Stinemates, a Honeycut Rodeo pickupman, discovered a grade-three tumor in March and had surgery to remove it; he now urges men to seek further testing when noticing changes in their bodies + Bridget’s Gift offers local support to raise awareness of men’s breast cancer. - ➤ Regional Center for Border Health opened a new office on Main Street in Somerton today to provide social services in one location (aiming to ease travel burdens for south county residents) and First Things First was the first agency to offer services there. KYMA
