EDUCATION NEWS

  • On October 27, the Arizona Western College District Governing Board announced its intent to consider Dr. Reetika Dhawan as the sole candidate to replace retiring president Dr. Daniel Corr. The board will hold candidate town halls on November 5 and 6 at Yuma Campus and other locations, and no formal action has been taken yet—faculty, staff and community members are invited to participate.  Arizona Western College
  • The Yuma County Education Foundation is accepting applications for the 2025-2026 Hall of Fame—merging the event with the Legacy Gala to honor local educators. Nominations are due by November 13 and winners will be revealed at the January 22 Legacy Gala and the April 30 Teacher of the Year Banquet.  KYMA
