- ➤ Yuma City Council voted Monday morning to oppose a proposal to permanently transfer Colorado River water to Queen Creek—local leaders warned the move could hurt water supply, power and agriculture. The resolution calls for transfers only when enough water and electricity are available to meet community needs. KYMA
- ➤ San Luis voters are beginning to receive ballots this week for the special election in November. Proposition 434 on the ballot, if approved, will cut the salary, trip allowances — and other benefits for city council members while saving nearly $500K that Mayor Nieves Riedel says will support parks and rec programs.
