COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Community members gathered outside the County Superior Court in Yuma to hold a vigil and honor political activist Charlie Kirk as they lit candles to remember his personal values — his work with Turning Point inspired many to engage in civic life. A second vigil is set for tonight at 7 p.m. at the Yuma County Foothills Library for those who could not attend.  KYMA

CULTURE NEWS

  • The UTV Off Road Showdown Chelada Fest is set for October 18 at 4:30 p.m. on Somerton Main Street. It will offer live music by (Kamacho, Los Cadetes de Linares and Ravines), a chelada contest, food, and a free kids area.  KYMA

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Yuma High School class of 1980 will host its 45th reunion from November 7 to November 9 in Yuma — a weekend planned with activities for all alumni. Attendees will have the chance to reconnect and mark a lasting milestone.  KYMA
