🎓 Education
Yuma School District One recognized 58 students with perfect scores on Arizona’s Academic Standards Assessment at Woodard Jr. High.
Superintendent Denis Ponder credited strong support from teachers and families for the students’ success.
🏛️ Government
Navy and Marine Corps will host a free water testing open house Tuesday, Sept.
29 at the Yuma Civic Center from 5 to 7 p.m. Military representatives will answer questions and explain plans to test private wells for PFAS from Sept. 30 through Oct. 7.
🏥 Health
So Delicious Dairy Free recalled its salted caramel cluster non-dairy frozen dessert because it may contain small stones.
The recall affects pints with a best-by date on or before Apr. 3 and follows a similar action in December so customers should avoid eating the product and call for a refund.
