- ➤ Yuma is preparing for the 9/11 Heroes Run — a 5K event that honors veterans, first responders and families of fallen heroes. The race takes place from 6:00 A.M. to 9:00 A.M. on September 11 along a route from the Pack East parking lot to Gateway Park, and registrations remain open until the day of the race. KYMA

- ➤ Texas Roadhouse is partnering with the Kyler Murray Foundation to support underserved youth, Veterans, and cancer patients by donating 10% of each bill when guests mention the fundraiser on Monday, September 15 from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; the promotion will run at 20 locations including Yuma — guests may also enter to win signed jerseys and cleats — benefiting local Arizona communities. - ➤ Authorities found the remains of missing attorney Raul Adrian Herrera Lopez, who was abducted on July 5, in a clandestine grave in San Luis, Mexico—a search carried out by local groups led to his identification through a tattoo and his family will soon receive his remains. KYMA
- ➤ Yesterday, a father and his sister appeared in court after being accused of murdering 24-year-old Michael Patrick Reiter last Friday, with both booked on first-degree murder and the sister also charged with hindering prosecution— the father is held on a $1 million bond while the sister faces a $500,000 bond and will return to court on Thursday.
