GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Yuma County Board of Supervisors approved a renovation project for a YCSO substation in Gadsden next to Gadsden Park to strengthen law enforcement services in South County. The project will begin later this year and finish early 2026—costing over $300,000 and adding a bulletproof lobby, new plumbing, electrical, lighting, and security systems. KYMA
- ➤ Yuma City Council members are heading to Phoenix for a three day League of Arizona Cities and Towns conference from August 19 to 22 where they will discuss issues like AI, economic development and Arizona’s water future. Council member Art Morales will meet local officials to discuss daycare options while council meetings are canceled—his meeting is one of several planned at the event. KYMA
