Spirit Mountain, a coffee shop in Winterhaven, earned a national certification for its roasted coffee—recognized as authentically made by tribal members by the Intertribal Agriculture Council.
Owner Tudor Montague said the certification assures customers they receive native-made coffee after a two-week summer break.

Yuma County is expanding its Desert Strong, Yuma Clean campaign — with five free transfer stations and strict enforcement — to cut illegal dumping in remote desert areas.
The county secured nearly $80,000 from Arizona’s Department of Environmental Quality to fund cleanup projects and community outreach.
