- ➤ A head-on crash on August 1 at about 8:46 p.m. near South Avenue G in Somerton killed 35-year-old Jose Manuel Castellanos when his Ford Mustang crossed into oncoming traffic and struck both a Toyota Venza and a Ford Expedition — injured passengers were treated at Onvida Health Yuma Regional Medical Center and in Phoenix as police noted alcohol appeared to be a factor.
