  • Yuma Rocks 2025, presented by the Yuma Art Center, will celebrate the local music scene — five Yuma bands were chosen from submissions to perform at the Historic Yuma Theatre on September 5. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. — the show starts at 7 p.m. with all ages welcome and concessions available.  KYMA

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • A proposal to change rules for food trucks in Yuma County has been introduced after residents complained about noise in neighborhoods—this plan limits operating times on private property and bans noise-making equipment from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. The county board will meet in the next few weeks to discuss the new zoning measures and ensure community safety.  KYMA

  • Alexandra Robles, a former San Luis teacher who once ran marathons and played soccer, lost her ability to walk after going unconscious earlier this year and is now receiving physical therapy—she works online for her old school and draws strength from family support as she fights to regain mobility.  KYMA
