- ➤ 51-year-old Candice Hurt accepted a plea deal after causing a fatal DUI crash that killed 75-year-old Cocopah tribal council member Irwin Twist in June+ she will serve 10.5 years in prison and remain behind bars until her sentencing in early August. KYMA
- ➤ Yuma Police arrested Enrique Rios III (35) and Calrita Carr (37) on July 9 for a series of vehicle burglaries at Sheffield Estates, La Mesa Manors, Ocotillo Estates and Saguaro Estates and charged them with 3rd degree burglary, theft of credit cards and fraudulent use of credit cards; a search of their vehicles and home found stolen property, guns, drugs and other evidence.
