  • At 7:38 p.m. on June 5, Yuma firefighters responded to a call after a 2-year-old girl drowned in a home pool in Yuma's midwest area—she received CPR at Onvida Health before being flown to a Phoenix hospital while YPD continued investigating the incident.  KYMA

CRIME NEWS

  • Six people were arrested by the Imperial County Sheriff's Office in connection to the murder of Jacob Sims—23-year-old missing from Yuma whose remains were found in a bonfire in Winterhaven on November 15—with charges including murder, torture, robbery, aggravated kidnapping and conspiracy.  KYMA

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Yuma school districts are offering free summer breakfast and lunch to kids 18 and under at various schools — the program helps ease meal costs and lets students get familiar with campus life.  KYMA
