CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A 39 year old man was arrested for armed robbery and kidnapping after robbing a clerk at the Circle K at 2409 S. 8th Avenue on May 27 around 12:50 a.m. and fleeing in a white Ford Expedition—his truck was later found at another Circle K on 2505 W. 8th Street at about 7:29 p.m.—after he drove off with a 10 year old girl, and he is now held at Imperial County Jail with no injuries reported. - ➤ The Colorado River State Historic Park unveiled its new exhibit—'The Colorado River: lifeblood of the Yuma community'—which explains the Bureau of Reclamation's role in water management and shows how local irrigation districts and water rights shape our region. Park Manager Tammy Snook said the installation, funded by the Arizona Community Foundation, highlights the river's support for our drinking water and agriculture. KYMA
