Martinez Lake had cooler temperatures this Memorial Day weekend that drew large crowds including first-timers and visitors from out of town.
Families and longtime locals enjoyed a relaxed day on the water amid rising gas prices and a reflective holiday spirit.

On Sunday, a massive dust devil whipped along Highway 95 in Yuma as captured on video by a local user at about 3:17 p.m. The National Weather Service said dust devils form under clear skies and light winds when the ground quickly warms the air.
