- ➤ Imperial County Sheriff's Office arrested a teen for making a social media school shooting threat at San Pasqual school after a tip from Quechan Police Department (QPD) led investigators to search a Winterhaven home that found no weapons. KYMA

- ➤ Elizabeth Cooley, a former teacher turned agriculture book author, visited a local school to share how a drive by an AG field in Yuma inspired her book Deserts Grow Veggies, which explains the importance of local farming. - ➤ Nearly 30 nursing students at Arizona Western College in Yuma were inducted into the Organization of Associate Degree Nurses Honor Society—recognizing academic excellence and community service. More inductees will join after the first semester next year. KYMA

- ➤ Arizona Western College, the City of Yuma, Caballeros de Yuma, and Visit Yuma are asking local volunteers to help run the NJCAA Division I Softball World Series at the Pacific Avenue Athletic Complex from May 19 to May 24.
