- ➤ Rescuers from the Imperial County Fire Department and Border Patrol rescued a senior couple whose vehicle got stuck in the desert near the border; one senior was taken to a hospital after showing signs of heat exposure, and officials reminded travelers to stay with their vehicles for safety. - ➤ Yuma native Noland Arbaugh will speak Tuesday, April 28 at Arizona Western College’s Matador Activity Center + Room 106 to share his inspiring journey from receiving a Neuralink brain implant after a spinal injury to pursuing studies and chess competitions. Arizona Western College
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Eight lanes opened at San Luis Port of Entry Tuesday morning, including two sentry and six general lanes to ease border flow. The project will add eight more lanes when complete in spring 2029 and is expected to boost business along William Brooks Avenue + Urtuzuastegui Street. KYMA
