- ➤ Yuma High School CTE students held presentations at council meetings in City of San Luis, Yuma and Somerton for CTE month. The students shared personal stories and program details to highlight how hands-on training builds workforce skills (Director Nereida Lansman said the courses support local industry growth). KYMA
- ➤ Centennial Middle School student Smriti won the 80th Annual Yuma County Spelling Bee by spelling concordance correctly — Yuma County Schools Superintendent Tom Hurt congratulated her on the achievement. KYMA
- ➤ Arizona Western College English Department faculty gathered last month for their annual symposium to share research, teaching methods, and updates on AI integration at the college; the event marked another milestone since its start in 2016, and community members are invited to join next year.
