The University of Arizona Cooperative Extension invites locals to join Farm to Family Day starting Saturday at 9 a.m. on local farms, where behind-the-scenes tours and a harvest lunch will be offered for $50.

Retired sheriff John Phipps passed away, leaving behind decades of service in the local law enforcement community.

He began his career in 1962, served as sheriff from 1981 until his retirement in 1992, and is survived by his wife and two children.
