DAV Yuma closed its bar after losing tax exempt status for failing to file three Form 990 returns and meeting only 0.92% of the required 10% for support.

State officials and veterans say the loss has affected community funds and call for alternative events to sustain the chapter.

The Blue Angels have begun winter training at Naval Air Facility El Centro in the Imperial Valley for the 2026 air show season.
