- ➤ A semi-truck carrying over 40,000 lbs of food from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints delivered vital supplies to the Yuma Community Food Bank today as part of a nationwide service effort, and more trucks will arrive in Arizona by week's end. KYMA
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The EPA is starting a two-month cleanup at a warehouse on East 24th Street that holds 3.92 million pounds of electronic waste — including hazardous lead — to protect a nearby food bank. The cleanup will seal the area and monitor air quality while making room for expanded storage. KYMA
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Relay for Life of Yuma County earned recognition from the American Cancer Society as West Region Event of the Year and will host Relay First Lap on January 10th at 11:00 a.m. at Inca Lanes plus a Spirit Award meeting on January 20th at Centennial Middle School. KYMA
