Yuma broke its daily rainfall record Sunday as the weekend storm flooded roads
The Daily Yuma team
If the weekend downpour felt early, the record books agree. Yuma International Airport recorded 0.62 inches of rain Sunday, topping the 0.22 inches set in 1987. Most of Yuma County saw a half inch to close to an inch over the weekend.

The water flooded roads and closed businesses. Grove 95 shut over the weekend because of standing water, and co-owner Coby Crouch said it should open Tuesday. Storms this heavy typically hold off until late November. Crouch is checking with farming partners, since early plantings can "completely flood that out and they have to start all over again."
- Northern Yuma County rain: 1 inch or more in places
- Tuesday morning lows: mid and low 50s
- Tuesday highs: upper 70s, with light winds
- Next week: warmer than normal
